In northern Germany, summer is gradually turning into autumn, but this doesn't just bring sunshine. Extensive road construction work is currently underway, which will keep traffic in Neubrandenburg and the surrounding area busy. In addition, there is a complete closure of state road 281 between Woldegk and Oertzenhof, which comes into force from Monday. A 6.5 kilometer long section is being renovated here, as unevenness in the longitudinal and transverse profile, numerous patches and progressive cracking endanger the road surface. The construction work is scheduled to last until mid-October 2025. The diversion for through traffic leads from Woldegk via Strasburg (B 104) to Friedland (L 282) and vice versa.
More construction sites in the region
The Kahlden Bridge in Demmin is also currently being worked on. It will be closed to traffic from Wednesday until September 5, 2025. The diversion takes place via Dargun (B 110), Malchin (L 20) and Stavenhagen (B 104, B 194). Interestingly, the bridge will be opened to shipping traffic once a day at 8 a.m. during construction.
But that's not all: In Altentreptow, the pedestrian bridge over the Tollense will be completely closed from Monday because it was classified as dilapidated. In addition, the B 192 between Penzlin and Mallin is completely closed until September 5, 2025 due to renovation work. District road 92 in Koldenhof near Feldberg will also not be passable until August 27th because a passage is being replaced here. Last but not least, state road 34 in Blankensee near Neustrelitz will not be accessible until the end of October due to construction work.
