On the evening of June 30, 2025, a traffic accident occurred in Neubrandenburg, which kept both the emergency services and onlookers on their toes. At 8:05 p.m. there was a collision on Woldegker Straße between a Renault Twingo, driven by an 82-year-old woman, and a Mercedes A-Class, which was driven by a 56-year-old man. The pensioner had reduced her speed at a traffic light when the driver behind her failed to brake and drove off. According to news.de, the elderly lady suffered minor injuries and was taken to the Neubrandenburg Clinic for an examination.
Both vehicles were no longer drivable after the collision, which is why a towing company had to be called. The total damage is estimated at 10,000 euros. The investigation into the exact circumstances of the accident is being carried out by the Neubrandenburg criminal police under the direction of Police Chief Inspector Sebastian Meinhardt. Thanks to the quick response of the emergency services, the injured driver was treated promptly and transported to the clinic.
