New coach Fabio Bartolone: PSV Neustrelitz takes off!
PSV Neustrelitz has found a new coach who will bring a breath of fresh air to the volleyball department. Fabio Bartolone, an experienced volleyball coach from Italy, succeeds Stefan Meingast, who was only in charge for one season. The 60-year-old not only brings extensive experience from over 30 years in the volleyball world, but also an impressive career as a player and coach, including in Italy, Austria and Germany. Bartolone said it was an honor to coach the team in the so-called “Temple of Volleyball.” This is reported by NDR.
Born in Catania, Italy, Bartolone started playing volleyball at the age of 15 and played up to the Italian second division. As a qualified sports scientist, he attaches great importance to the development of his players. “I’m looking forward to getting to know the fans and making new friends in the city,” he emphasized and was enthusiastic about the challenge in Neustrelitz. The PSV management side is proud to have been able to attract such an experienced and passionate coach, as Strelitzius reports.
Start into the new season
The new season will be exciting for PSV Neustrelitz as they start with three home games in a row. Teams like Bocholt (September 13th), Mondorf (September 20th) and Schüttorf (September 27th) are waiting for the team as opponents in the Strelitzhalle. Bartolone will have the opportunity to introduce his philosophy and strategies in these first games.
For the volleyball landscape in Germany, such changes in coaching positions are not only exciting, but also important. Efficient athlete management is becoming increasingly important, especially in this sport. Projects to optimize athlete management, such as the one carried out by the Technical University of Darmstadt, show how potential goals can be communicated more effectively between coaches and athletes. These approaches focus on individually tailored discussions and feedback in order to achieve a high sporting level. In this way, coaches like Bartolone could specifically promote the development of their players, which is not least due to his roots in sports science, as TU Darmstadt shows.
With Fabio Bartolone at the helm, PSV Neustrelitz will not only arouse the curiosity of its team, but also the entire volleyball community in the region. It is clear to everyone involved: If the season gets off to a successful start, the team could have an exciting time ahead.
