A breath of fresh air in Parchim: New supermarket opens with Dubai charm!
The city of Parchim can be happy: From Monday, August 12, 2025, a new supermarket will open its doors at Langen Straße 49, opposite the well-known Alsaadi restaurant. Mohamad Alsaadi and his family bring fresh fruit and vegetables, meat, spices and oriental delicacies from Dubai to the shelves of the new store. This closes a long gap in the city center, as there was previously no fresh fruit and vegetables to buy outside of market days, as daughter Sara points out.
The opening of the supermarket in the former premises of the Brasch leather goods store, which closed in 2007 for health reasons, is a further step for the Alsaadis in Parchim. After arriving from Damascus in 2018, the family opened their restaurant just six months later. This will also remain in place and the business areas will be managed separately. Mohamad Alsaadi will work in the supermarket together with his daughter Sara, while his wife will continue to manage the restaurant.
A new shopping experience
The new supermarket will offer a wide selection of fresh foods on 150 square meters. From crunchy fruit and vegetables to aromatic spices and freshly prepared meat, everyone will find something suitable for their cuisine here. It's a good hand that the Alsaadi family has shown, and when the doors open on Monday, the Parchimers will have the opportunity to shop directly on site.
Preparations for the big day are in full swing. Before the opening, the final touches have to be completed, such as putting away the goods and tidying up the premises. “We look forward to welcoming customers and offering them the best shopping experience,” said Sara Alsaadi.
A look into the future
This new opening not only enriches the offerings in the city center, but also integrates a piece of culture from the home of the Alsaadis in Parchim. The new supermarket will therefore not only be a place for shopping, but also for gathering—a place where Parchimers and visitors can enjoy fresh, high-quality products in a welcoming atmosphere.
