New offer of help in Parchim: Support for those in need!

In Parchim there is a new offer of help on the program that takes care of the needs of needy citizens. Under the motto “The Left Helps!” Steffi Pulz-Debler, member of the state parliament, together with her constituency team and the LUP district association of the Die Linke party, have put together a wide-ranging offer of support. The offers are designed to support people in smaller and larger emergencies in order to make a valuable contribution in difficult times, as nordkurier.de reports.

The new center, located in the Linkskontor at Lange Straße 42, offers a range of free services. This includes, among other things, support with applications and forms for social benefits, a heating cost check, neighborly help such as shopping assistance or minor repairs to smartphones and laptops, as well as homework help for students in grades 5 to 10 in German and English. A clothing exchange of well-preserved items of clothing is also part of the offer. The consultations take place every Thursday between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Linkskontor.

Inauguration of the Linkskontor

The Linkskontor has been shared by various factions and offices of the Die Linke party since the beginning of April. The first events in the new premises included a reading with Hans Demmel and a discussion with Jan van Aken. At a celebratory inauguration that took place recently, guests from politics, administration, clubs and associations came together to get to know the new space for political exchange, social and future ideas. [steffi-pulz.de](https://www.steffi-pulz.de/aktuell/detail/linkskontor-in-parchim- Feierlich-eingeweiht/) reports on a musical accompaniment and a snack afterwards, which offered opportunities for encounters.

Marko Schmidt, the district chairman, and Andreas Sturm, the chairman of the district council group, were also present and were pleased about the new contact point. The aim of the LINKSKONTOR is to create a place for networking, political discourse and creative workshops. Particular emphasis is placed on openness, peace and democracy.

Market discussions and the offer for the population

There is also a pleasing focus on the monthly market discussions, which take place on the first Saturday of the month at the shoe market. The next market discussion will take place on December 6th from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and will provide space for an exchange on current topics as well as the concerns and needs of citizens. On this special occasion, guests are even treated to little surprises for St. Nicholas Day. There are various contact options for anyone interested, including via email or mobile.

In the context of regional civil society organizations, which represent an important infrastructure for civil engagement, the LINKSKONTOR is another important step. The number of registered associations in Germany has increased enormously since 1960, as bpb.de shows. This development shows that there is a strong need for networking and support in society.

With the new help offer in the Linkskontor, Parchim not only gains a future-oriented concept, but also offers a valuable platform for all citizens who are looking for support or want to get actively involved.
