Chris-Marvin Scheffler wins the Tollenseseelauf 2025 again!

The 33rd Tollenseseelauf took place in Neubrandenburg on June 15, 2025 and once again provided a colorful hustle and bustle on the lake. In summer conditions, over 1,900 participants from different nations took part and impressively demonstrated how much enthusiasm and sense of community there is in the running community. Chris-Marvin Scheffler, who had already conquered the course last year, once again demonstrated his class with a victory in 2:45.10 hours. However, this time he had to fight the heat and take breaks from walking in order to successfully complete the run. Nordkurier reports that Scheffler had set a record of 2:32.48 hours last year.

The runner-up in the competition, Stefan Lange from SV Turbine Neubrandenburg, reached the finish in 2:56.38 hours, closely followed by Jona-Jean Kuchinke from the Harz Mountain Running Club, who took third place in 2:57.14 hours. The performance among women was also outstanding. Friederike Preuß from Pasewalk took first place with 3:43.10 hours and improved compared to the last two years, in which she took third place each time. Jeannette Kiesow from HSV Neubrandenburg crossed the finish line in second place in 3:50.80 hours, while Isa Koopmann from Kalkhorst took third place in 3:51:50 hours.

Diverse starting field and exciting results

What is particularly noteworthy is that a new participant record was achieved among walkers: 123 people competed to complete the route by walking. Beate Warkentin (Turbine) won the walker race in 1:37.50 hours. Hartmut Wolff from “Die Wolffgang” won the walkers in 1:26.26 hours. MV-Sport emphasizes that Participants from Germany, Denmark, France, Canada, the Netherlands and Poland came together to take part in this sporting highlight.

The mood among the participants was excellent and many, like 17-year-old Juliane Göllnitz and 43-year-old Kathleen Maag from SC Laage, ran the 10 kilometer route in 45:48 minutes. The organizers around SV Turbine Neubrandenburg were honored for their successful event by Dr. Sven Abrokat, a Güstrow runner and educator.

We carry on!

Overall, the organizer can look forward to the best number of participants after the corona pandemic. Race director Jörg Knospe is extremely satisfied with how the event went and looks positively to the future. The three clubs with the highest number of participants in the Sparkasse Run were able to look forward to 500 euro checks. There is already a reason for all sports enthusiasts to look forward to: the next Tollenseseelauf will take place on June 13, 2026.
