On Saturday evening there was a traffic accident on the route between Blumenhagen and Groß Luckow in which three people were injured. According to nordkurier.de, a 46-year-old woman was driving with her nine-year-old son towards Groß Luckow when she crossed into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with an oncoming 74-year-old man.
The accident occurred around 7 p.m. The exact cause that led to this dangerous maneuver is currently unclear. The man, who was driving his van, lost control of his vehicle after the collision. He left the road and also collided with a tree and a guide post. Fortunately, all three people involved only suffered minor injuries.
After the accident
The vehicles were no longer drivable and had to be towed away by the police. The total damage is estimated at around 76,000 euros. The road was completely closed to record the accident and recover the vehicles. In addition to the police, the emergency services also took part in the emergency services as well as eleven comrades from the Blumenhagen volunteer fire department, who had previously dealt with a fire in Schönwalde and a wedding.
