The festive pre-Christmas season is approaching and with it the traditional event “Romantic Castle Christmas” at the Stargard hilltop castle. OnSunday December 7th, 2025, the impressive castle opens its gates again and invites young and old to celebrate. The Christmas market, which has now become a tradition, has been taking place on the 2nd Sunday of Advent for years and promises a magical atmosphere that amazes visitors.

What awaits the guests? The castle courtyard is lined with festively decorated stalls offering a variety of regional products and handicrafts. From bratwurst to fish dishes to sweet lard cakes – your physical well-being is taken care of. The mulled wine creations and drinking chocolate in particular keep the hearts of stand visitors warm, while the children can meet Santa Claus, who accepts wishes in the lovingly decorated chapel area. The festive chapel itself, shining in full Christmas splendor, is another highlight of the event that brings young and old together.

Attractions for the whole family

But that's not all: the “fairytale aunt” stays in the vaulted cellar and tells stories that take the little ones into a magical world. The colorful stage program includes, among other things, performances by the local choir and the Kletterrose elementary school. At 1:30 p.m. guests can enjoy the voice of singer Ilinca Tsiple, and at 2:30 p.m. an amusing magic comedy show awaits them. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is open to all visitorsfor free.

The medieval ambience, carefully lit with oil lamps and fire baskets, makes for an atmospheric experience. The attractions and the diverse range of stands and food stalls promise an unforgettable day within walls steeped in history. Authentic artisans demonstrate traditional skills and offer handmade goods, from glassblowing to tasty food stalls serving typical medieval delicacies.
