Dancing across borders: Summer holiday workshop for children in Löcknitz!

In the small town of Löcknitz there is as much to experience as you could wish for during the summer holidays. The Dancers Without Borders and Tanzclub Pasewalk/Strasburg associations have organized an exciting dance course for children and young people. The workshops will take place on July 26th and 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Gerhard Eisler gymnasium - and best of all: participation is free! Registrations can be made by calling Stefanie Liekfeld on 0162 6096310. The project's motto, “Just Courage – Miej Odwagę”, speaks for itself and offers an excellent opportunity for children and young people to dance together and express their creativity.

Since May, people have been meeting in the German-Polish border region not only to dance, but also to make new acquaintances and experience creative projects. Under the direction of the municipalities of Grambow and Kolbaskowo, a final public performance will also take place on June 22nd at 3 p.m. in the Ostoja Palace in Przeclaw. Choreographer Be van Vark emphasizes the importance of courage in current times and wants to bring people from Germany and Poland together with her work.

A musical adventure for students

The musical project, which is aimed at primary school students in grades 3 to 6, is also particularly exciting. These workshops, organized by a team of professional artists, introduce children to Polish tradition in a playful way. The program consists of three parts: an introduction with stories such as the legend of Lech, Czech and Rus, followed by dance and mime exercises and the joint performance of Polish folk dances such as Polonaise, Mazurka and Krakowiak. The support of the Polish Embassy, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the State of Brandenburg and the Berlin Senate shows how important cultural exchange is in the region.

Long-term German-Polish cooperation

The cooperation between Germany and Poland goes back a long way. The European Youth and Family Support Association (EJF) has initiated numerous projects in the areas of culture and social affairs since 1999. Over 25 years of close friendship and networking have created a vibrant community on both sides of the border. The education and meeting centers such as the Landhof Arche and the Landhof Liepe have also contributed to creating a creative environment for children and young people.

Thanks to financial and technical support from the EU and international programs such as the Interreg program, Polish-German cooperation is flourishing. It enables numerous events aimed at children, young people and people with disabilities. A wide range of cultural experiences are offered, from workshops in various creative areas to international integration events.

This initiative symbolizes not only the courage required in the current times, but also the opportunities that arise through cultural encounters and collaboration. The organizers have a good hand when it comes to building bridges between cultures and getting younger generations excited about their neighbors to the east.

Enjoy the opportunity to dance, learn and experience cultural traditions together - it's worth being part of this wonderful project!
