Spectacular ice spectacle: Cinema of Dreams” is coming to Rostock!
The anticipation for the upcoming holidays is increasing, because from December 4th to 7th, 2025, the eagerly awaited ice show “Holiday on Ice” will once again bring the StadtHalle in Rostock to life. After 21 editions in the Hanseatic city, the new program entitled “Cinema of Dreams” brings a breath of fresh air into the glittering culinary pre-Christmas season.
Over 11,400 tickets have already been sold and demand is higher than ever. OSTSEE-ZEITUNG reports that no less than 25 × 2 tickets for the performance on December 5th are up for raffle. The competition runs from September 15th to 28th, so enter quickly before time runs out!
The show and its actors
The creative team is top-class: the producer is the renowned Peter O’Keeffe, who is known for his impressive ice shows. The creative direction is in the hands of Kim Gavin, who has already worked with the likes of Adele and Robbie Williams. She receives support from Adam Blake (choreographer), Michael Sharp (costume designer) and Misty Buckley (set designer). Together they promise a combination of technical skill, expression and acrobatic challenges, presented by 37 top international athletes.
“Cinema of Dreams” focuses on the joy of film genres such as retro, musical and science fiction. It tells the gripping story of three friends who revitalize an old cinema. A dive into the world of dreams and fantasy is intended to captivate the audience and invite them to lose themselves in the magical atmosphere of figure skating.
Ticket information and performance times
The performances are scheduled for the following times:
- 04.12.2025: 19:00 Uhr (Premiere)
- 05.12.2025: 16:00 Uhr und 20:00 Uhr
- 06.12.2025: 14:00 Uhr und 18:00 Uhr
- 07.12.2025: 13:00 Uhr und 16:30 Uhr
A special highlight is the show package, which offers culinary delicacies in the VIP area. Tickets are available from 36.00 euros. There are discounted tickets for 30.00 euros for younger spectators under 12 years of age. Rathaus Rostock provides information about the possibility of booking the ticket offer online.
Oliver Fudickar, managing director of inRostock GmbH, emphasizes the importance of this ice show for the region. It is not only a tradition but also an event that brings families and friends together. The last tour stop in particular set a new record with 21,095 visitors last year.
