SV 90 Görmin is planning a sensation in the Ostseestadion against Hansa Rostock!
The little SV 90 Görmin has made it straight to the big football stage! On October 10, 2025 at 7 p.m., the amateur club will face none other than third division team FC Hansa Rostock in Rostock's Ostseestadion. For the eighth-graders, this is a real highlight that they don't want to miss. Although the home advantage could be exercised in their own Peenetalstadion (maximum 600 spectators), the Görminers have decided not to do so due to logistical complications and are instead relying on a larger platform. Between 2,000 and 3,000 spectators could watch the game in the stately Ostseestadion, including around 600 fans from Görmin who are already excited for the duel. At the moment, 250 seats have already been reserved in five rented fan buses.
For SV 90 Görmin, this is more than just a game. The club is currently in 5th place in the national class II and has gained momentum with a strong 5-2 win against SV Burg Stargard 09, in which Issam Alnajar even scored four goals. Captain Alexander Brandt leads his team with pride, while former captain Frank Schult pays attention to the tactics as a coach on the sidelines. Your clear goal? As little defeat as possible and definitely score a goal against Hansa.
The anticipation and the challenge
The players and fans are full of anticipation, after all, you shouldn't forget that Hansa Rostock is not only a third division team, but also the BIG city among the local football teams. The challenge could be big, but SV 90 Görmin doesn't want to let it get them down. And who knows, maybe the sensation will be successful and the underdog will annoy the favorite a little - after all, that's what football stories are all about!
The income from the game also benefits SV 90 Görmin, as they receive 50% of the spectator income, excluding rental costs for the stadium. This could mean a real financial boost for the small club. The eleven players on the pitch are ready to do their part to ensure that what happens in Rostock remains unforgettable.
