From December 14, 2025, there will be an exciting innovation for passengers in bus transport in the districts of Northwest Mecklenburg and Ludwigslust-Parchim. A comprehensive timetable change is imminent, like ndr.de reported. The reason for the changes are new departure times from Deutsche Bahn and adjusted teaching times in schools, which has led the transport company NAHBUS to optimize departure times and routes.
What is particularly noticeable is that line 390 will in future be operated exclusively as a school bus route between Schönberg and Lübeck-Eichholz. In addition, a new line 395 will be launched, which will provide direct access between Weißer Wiek and the Lübeck bus station. The Ludwigslust-Parchim transport company (VLP) is also adapting a total of 37 timetables, especially for rail replacement buses.
Details about the new lines
The departure times of lines 54, 58, 77 and 735 will in future be coordinated with the new train timetables. Additional changes have also been announced: Line 54 will stop at the Wittenburger Alpincenter in the future, while line 512 from Neuhaus to Neu Bleckede will head to a new stop at the ferry pier from mid-December. Unfortunately, the “Boizenburg an der Quöbbe” stop has to be canceled without replacement.
In Schwerin, the next changes to bus transport are not planned until February 2026, which means that citizens can look forward to the coming improvements in the region for the time being.
