KFC is coming to Stralsund: The fast food revolution is starting soon!

A new hotspot for fast food fans will soon open in Stralsund: The first KFC branch in Western Pomerania will open its doors on Greifswalder Chaussee on July 16th at 11 a.m. This location is strategically located near the busy federal highway 96, which also leads to the island of Rügen. The new KFC branch will have a restaurant area of more than 330 m², which can accommodate a total of 88 guests: 68 in the indoor seating area and 20 on the inviting outdoor terrace. There is also a drive-thru service that allows guests to purchase their favorite dishes quickly and easily. Construction work for KFC in Stralsund began in November last year. The building permit was granted in October and IVB GmbH from Rostock has been active as the builder ever since. The Northern Courier highlights that the chain, which was founded in Kentucky in 1930, is taking another step in its expansion within Germany.

KFC on the rise

KFC is not only on the rise in Stralsund, but is also planning nationwide expansion in Germany. There are currently 187 branches, all of which are operated in a franchise system, with the aim of increasing the number to 500. The Original Recipe Chicken, made with a secret blend of 11 herbs and spices, has made KFC a global phenomenon. This clearly shows how popular the brand has become in Germany and continues to grow.
