Prominent conversations: Käßmann and Müntefering in the east wind!
An exciting year lies ahead in Boltenhagen, where the Baltic Sea kisses the coast. Next year, the prominent Margot Käßmann and the former politician Franz Müntefering will be guests at the “Ostwind” restaurant. Here, at one of the most popular holiday destinations in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, guests can expect not only culinary delights, but also stimulating conversations with the stars. As the Baltic Sea newspaper reports, Käßmann, who will read from her new book “Colours of Hope” on May 17th, will then also answer questions from the audience. The former regional bishop of Hanover has a lot to tell and will certainly arouse a lot of interest.
Müntefering, on the other hand, will take a look at his impressive political career. On June 28th he will appear at the “big summer talk by the sea”, moderated by Andrea Jung. The 85-year-old will share numerous exciting anecdotes from his time in the Schröder cabinet. His insights into the political world promise entertaining and educational hours.
Boltenhagen: A place with history
But what makes Boltenhagen so special? The charming community with around 2,430 inhabitants and an area of 18.35 km² is not only a recognized seaside spa, but also a popular attraction for tourists from near and far. The history of the place goes back to 1325, when it was first mentioned in documents as Longa Indago. The rise to the Baltic Sea resort began in the 1830s, which is also reflected in the tourist offerings today. In addition to cozy beaches and a mild, bracing climate, the region offers numerous leisure activities, which include three districts: Boltenhagen, Redewisch, Tarnewitz and Wichmannsdorf.
Visitors have the opportunity to try out activities such as swing golf, beach volleyball or even submarine riding. Thanks to the excellent infrastructure, Boltenhagen can invite up to 30,000 seasonal guests to the charming town, which was given the title of a state-recognized resort in 1976 and was finally elevated to the status of a seaside spa in 1998.
Pioneering work in the “East Wind”
The “Ostwind” restaurant has established itself as a cultural hotspot in recent years. Dirk Schiewer, the operator, emphasizes that the appearances here are more important to the stars than the accommodation. Many of the prominent guests receive not only a room but also a fee to be part of this special celebration. This season, greats like Harald Maack and Heike Götz have already been guests, and the guest list doesn't stop. Personalities such as Heide Keller, Horst Naumann and the “Soko Wismar” team were also an integral part.
For everyone who is looking for something special and wants to experience an unforgettable evening in Boltenhagen, the “Ostwind” program is really popular. With well-known personalities and stories that touch the heart, Boltenhagen will offer guests a piece of culture and entertainment by the sea. Are you ready for a year full of exciting talks and outstanding literature?
