Chihuahua Butsch: happily reunited after five weeks in the forest!

Butsch – the little survivor from the Aurich district – was able to hug his family again after being away for weeks. The three-year-old Chihuahua disappeared on September 24th during a walk in the Nadörst Forest after his master's wife had an accident with an electric vehicle during the tour. She slipped down an embankment and fell into a canal, which immediately caused the nimble Butsch to panic. Luckily reports NDR that the dog is finally back in his own four walls after five weeks.

Not an easy path

The search for Butsch was tirelessly supported by the Ostfriesland Dog Search Aid. Nevertheless, the little dog remained as if swallowed by the earth for weeks. Last Saturday he was finally spotted in a garden feasting on hedgehog food. When he met his owners again, there was no stopping him: Butsch saw his owner and jumped into her lap full of joy. A sudden return to the family – emaciated but fortunately well, the NWZ reported.
