Big rush to the Aurich Haunted House: Over 1000 tickets sold!

Advance ticket sales for “The Haunted House” in Aurich are going better than ever. Over 1,000 tickets have already been sold and the event promises to be one of the scariest attractions of the year. Vanessa Minjets, the creative force behind this horror experience, is more than satisfied with the response. “The Haunted House” is being organized for the fourth time this year and has so far taken place in Esens. Now Aurich is on the agenda and with good reason: the anticipation of scary experiences is growing.

The event received a particular boost from Matthias Hübner's marketing, which clearly had a positive effect on ticket sales. Minjets has also gathered a dedicated team to support her - no easy task, as she invests around twelve hours a day in preparation. On around 1250 square meters, visitors are taken on a journey into another world, which ends in a horror scenario of a hotel in which a tragic suicide overshadows hotel life.

The event and the location

The Alte Blücher Barracks in Aurich, a former naval intelligence school from 1938, will be the setting for this unique event. The conversion into a boutique hotel, the BOUTIQUE HOTEL CECIL, has already begun and the first guests have already moved in. A Halloween event is also expected there in October 2025, which only increases the anticipation for the spooky season.

For all those who dare, the cards are up www.eventim-light.com available. The entire event has the potential to be a unique experience for young and old.

The magic of Halloween

In Germany, Halloween is celebrated on October 31st - the day before All Saints' Day. More and more people are enthusiastic about this tradition, which has now become established through customs such as trick-or-treating and dressing up at parties. Halloween is particularly popular in larger cities and among children. The origins go back to the 19th century, when Irish immigrants brought the customs to the USA and from there they returned to Europe.

Costumes, scary films and carved pumpkins with candles are part of the festival. Almost a third of Germans still have little specific connection to Halloween, while many adults take a more leisurely approach to dressing up, while children enjoy collecting sweets. Special Halloween events, such as film marathons, are becoming increasingly popular at cinemas, with around 30 percent of Germans watching scary and horror films on this evening.

The anticipation of the haunted house in Aurich and the upcoming Halloween parties are a sign that the horror culture continues to flourish in northern Germany. The event could be the hit of the season, captivating many looking for a little thrill.
