Neßmersiel: New indoor play park AndersWelt” will delight from 2026!
Something is happening in Neßmersiel: The popular indoor play park “AndersWelt” is currently being redesigned and promises a completely new experience for visitors of all ages. The former “Sturmfrei” play park, which had to close as a result of the corona pandemic, is now giving way to a varied concept based on the children’s book “Fiete Anders” by Miriam Koch. The story revolves around a little sheep named Fiete who is looking for a place where she feels comfortable. In this context, managing director Rolf Kopper highlights the topics of diversity and migration, which should be included in the new play park. A special edition of the book is also sold in the park so that visitors young and old can immerse themselves in the exciting world of Fiete.
Overall, the renovation project, which has been running for around three months, is taking on enormous dimensions. With a usable area of 3,000 square meters, the “AndersWelt” will offer numerous attractions. The renovations not only include electrical, tiling and painting, but also the design of new floors. The opening of the play park is planned for Easter 2026 and the construction costs amount to an impressive 1.7 million euros. Of this, 1.1 million euros will be provided by the N-Bank, 100,000 euros by the Aurich district and 500,000 euros as the Tourismus-GmbH's own contribution. The construction work is largely being carried out by the construction company Bold from the north, with 19 of 21 trades already contracted.
New attractions for exciting experiences
Visitors can look forward to numerous exciting offers. One of the main attractions will be the climbing dike in the “Deichhalle”, which has impressive dimensions of 17 meters wide and 5 meters high. The “Laser Maze” attraction will also be set up in Hall 2, a two-story labyrinth that will put visitors’ skills to the test. The aim here is to cross laser barriers with as few contacts as possible.
A particularly exciting highlight will be the “Spider Tower”: a climbing facility that allows children to climb through ropes and large rubber bands. In addition, the Wall-O-Jump will be built in the rear area of Hall 2, creating a connection between the trampoline system and the virtual play world. Movements on the trampoline are monitored with sensors and transferred to a captivating computer game in which special jumps are required. These jumps can even be captured photographically and transferred to visitors’ smartphones.
Cinema and more for the little adventurers
The already popular cinema facility will also be retained and will present new films with an all-day program. A separate toddler area will be reactivated, but this time twice as large. There the littlest visitors will find attractions that are designed with loving motifs and colors based around Fiete Anders. There will also be a double-track bowling alley that is suitable for both young and old.
Catering is not provided, but this does mean that visitors can bring their own food to make the most of their time in the play park. The “AndersWelt” not only promises a diverse range of leisure activities, but also the opportunity to spend a pleasant break.
The renovation of the “AndersWelt” opens up bright prospects in Neßmersiel for families who are looking for a suitable excursion destination. Those interested can find further information and details on the website NWZ Online and Dornum.de.
