Braunschweig crowns the most beautiful Christmas stand in 2025!
The Braunschweig Christmas market 2025 will shine in new splendor and will once again have an impressive variety to offer with 140 stands this year. On December 1st, the most beautiful stand was traditionally awarded, and the jury was spoiled for choice, as rnd.de reports.
The jury, consisting of high-profile members such as district mayor Jutta Plinke and other representatives of the city marketing and the showmen's association, awarded the award to the “Harzer Specialties” stand. This shone through its cozy Christmas design and the use of regional products such as wild sausage and cheese. Operator Gisela Elli Almstadt, supported by her grandson Franko Almstadt, invested 45 hours to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
The award winners in detail
The competition for the most beautiful stand also included other places. Second place was awarded to the “Ehlers Bratwurst” stand, which stood out with its stylish atmosphere and loving decoration. Truly an eye-catcher, it is located directly next to the Ferris wheel and therefore attracts many visitors. Third place went to “Milchreis Manufaktur”, which was a new provider on the market that scored points with various toppings and a lovingly decorated roof. Operator Marlon Vorlop from Hanover was enthusiastic about the positive response.
In addition, the “little buffer booth” received a special prize for its newly designed gable front, a sign that decades of tradition can continue to develop.

The Christmas market in Braunschweig is open until December 29th, 2025, but there will be a market shutdown on the public holidays, i.e. on December 24th and 25th.
