Celle Youth Fire Department: Successful half-year results inspire families
Last Friday before the summer holidays, the Celle-Hauptwache youth fire department held its half-year final, which was very well received by around 50 participants, including many young people, parents and siblings. The event began with a barbecue in a relaxed atmosphere, where young and old came together to properly celebrate the first half of the year of the youth fire department. The main theme was to strengthen solidarity in the fire department and give families insights into the diverse work of the fire department. The children and young people also had the task of guiding their families through the fire station and introducing various areas and the emergency vehicles feuerwehr-celle.de.
As a special attraction, the family was able to experience the alarm of a real operation up close. The active fire department was alerted at 5 p.m., which was an exciting experience for those present. The alarm and the subsequent exit of the emergency vehicles caused great enthusiasm and impressively demonstrated what it means to be part of the fire department. The evening ended with a big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this wonderful evening and concluded with the hope of many more shared experiences.
Educational work in the youth fire department
An important part of youth fire brigade work is continuous educational work. This has recently picked up speed again and now includes a wide-ranging program.[jugendfeuerwehr-hannover.de](https://jugendfeuerwehr-hannover.de/home/bildungsarbeit/lehrgangs-und-seminar Descriptionen/) The tried and tested courses include the introductory course, the competition training as well as further training on Juleica and public relations. New offers also found their place in the program, such as first aid training and cooking in the children's and youth fire department. Sustainability also has a particularly high priority, especially with regard to the upcoming regional tent camp.
The upcoming courses are aimed at youth firefighters and supervisors and include practical as well as theoretical training. In addition to the classic content, the program also aims to address membership recruitment and the rights and responsibilities of a youth group leader. Those responsible have a good knack for putting young people in fire service work on a solid foundation and creating space for the exchange of experiences.
New concepts and programs
Furthermore, the German Youth Fire Department presented a new educational program that replaces the previous paper “helper” in order to optimize the training work. The new content is presented on its own website jugendfeuerwehr.de. The training program for youth fire brigade work remains unchanged and corresponds to the requirements of JuLeiCa training. This is of great importance for youth fire departments in order to ensure qualified and safe interaction with young members.
With a variety of courses and seminars, the youth fire department is well positioned and ready to provide its members with both professional and personal training. The combination of practical knowledge and educational approaches helps to strengthen and promote the youth fire department as an important part of our community.
