The long weekend is just around the corner and there is a lot to experience in East Frisia! On Friday, October 31st, we not only celebrate Reformation Day, but we can also look forward to numerous events in the region. Whether you're looking for cultural exploration or family-friendly activities, there's something for everyone over the next few days East Frisian newspaper reported.
A highlight for art and craft enthusiasts is the craft market in Wiesmoor, which takes place on November 1st and 2nd in the Flower Hall. Over 60 exhibitors show their handmade products and entry costs just 4.50 euros for adults, while children and young people are free. A real bargain for everyone who loves something special!
Family-friendly offers and fun for everyone
On Sunday, November 2nd, the Emden Museum Day heralds the highlight of the weekend with the motto “Discover together – marvel together”. Ten museums offer hands-on activities, and admission is affordable at 6 euros for adults and 12 euros for families. At the same time, many shops have Sunday shopping from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., ideal for picking up a bargain or two.
In Aurich, the autumn market in the Sparkasse Arena is happening right on time until November 2nd. Exciting rides such as Hot Snow, X-Flight and Ferris wheel await adventure seekers big and small. A real spectacle is expected on Friday evening when a large fireworks display lights up the sky at 9.30 p.m.

- Grünkohl-Saisonstart in Oldenburg: Am 2. November von 12 bis 18 Uhr mit einem unterhaltsamen Programm.
- Halloween im Jaderpark: Bis zum 2. November gespannt bleiben bei den Gruselattraktionen.
A real highlight for the little ones is the Halloween event in the Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven, which starts on October 31st at 5 p.m. and is free.
Tradition and celebrations
For lovers of traditional events, St. John's Mass in Loga will be celebrated on November 1st at 7 p.m. in the Friedenskirche, a wonderful opportunity for reflection and community. The fire department in Rhaude is also celebrating its 120th anniversary in the Marienheil music café on the same day.
A colorful parade under the motto “80s and 90s” will take place in Westerstede on November 1st, while a star hike with a lecture is planned in Bad Zwischenahn. An exciting program awaits visitors!
