Architecture, shooting festival and traffic safety: Wolfsburg celebrates!
K46/Hubertusstraße, Deutschland - On Saturday, June 29th, it will be exciting again in Wolfsburg, because the Day of Architecture is just around the corner. On this day, the city opens its doors to numerous exciting construction projects. Stadtbaurat Kai-Uwe Hirschheide will take visitors on a guided bike tour, in which the Wiesengarten residential area and the Eastgate office complex can be visited. The starting point of the tour is the School Center Fallersleben at Karl-Heise-Straße 28, where an individual exploration of new architecture is also waiting for everyone interested.
The offer also includes a visit to the free facilities of the school center as well as daycare centers in Kreuzheide and the impressive Hellwinkel terraces. Anyone who is interested in the urban planning concepts of the Steimker gardens and the “Stadtgarten” residential development in Wellekamp will also get their money's worth here. A visit to the project is free of charge, but a registration is made at forum.architektur@stadt.wolfsburg.de required.
traffic problems in Wolfsburg
Another current topic concerns traffic safety in Wolfsburg. A temporary traffic light will soon be installed at the dangerous accident frequency center on K46/Hubertusstraße. This measure, which will cost around 340,000 euros, is expected to improve the traffic situation in the next twelve months. Unfortunately, no roundabout or a new intersection is implemented, the effect of the traffic lights is to be observed over the next few months in order to be able to make sound decisions for the future.
Schützenfest in Vorsfelde
The shooting festival in Vorsfelde begins on Friday, June 20, in parallel to these topics. Kids and adults can look forward to an entertaining weekend. On Saturday, June 21st, a rifle breakfast will take place at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Lower Saxony Cup award ceremony at 12 noon. On Sunday, June 22nd, the climax will be celebrated with a musically accompanied parade from 2 p.m. Here is entertainment and a good atmosphere! The dog ban on the Allseeestrand
Another topic that is currently being discussed in public concerns the regulations on the Allseeestrand. The Council has decided that dogs on a leash will be allowed on the lawn and on the beach. This measure aims to reduce geese population and to ensure cleanliness on the all -sea. The regulation will initially be limited over the summer and the effects are observed closely.
For everyone who is interested in architecture and urban development, the day of architecture is an absolute highlight, while at the same time dealing with important questions about traffic safety and recreational rules in the city. Wolfsburg is currently offering an exciting mix of tradition and progress!
