Young artists inspire at the 50th Kaiserring art competition in Goslar!

There is a celebration in Goslar! In the anniversary year of the Kaiserring, which has now been awarded for 50 years, the city was able to inspire local talent with an exciting art competition. Around 130 young artists from seven schools in the region were invited to demonstrate their creative potential. There was great interest and entire classes took part in art lessons.

Not only primary schools, but also vocational and high school schools were involved, creating a colorful mix of works of art. Things were a little different at the St. Georg kindergarten, which took part outside of the competition but was still awarded a special prize. A nice attempt to get even the youngest people excited about art.

The winners have been determined

There was great excitement when the jury chose the winners. In the primary school age group, Philip Spitzley from class 4b at Jürgenohl primary school impressed and secured first place. Juna Auli Naffin from the Sudmerberg primary school and Maja Schweizer from the Worthschule follow in second place.

Elisabeth Brandt (grade 7a, Ratsgymnasium Goslar) performed best among the secondary schools. Josefine Peters from BBS Bassgeige, FOG11, came in second place and Hannah Rausche from the same school came in third. All first-place winners can look forward to vouchers and their works will be presented in a special exhibition that can be seen in the Don Quixote House of the Mönchehaus Museum until Sunday, November 23rd.

An exhibition with diversity

The exhibition offers insights into the diversity of the submitted works. The little artists worked on different topics: While the primary school students dealt with the “House of Colorful Art”, the older years interpreted the Kaiserring’s anniversary year. The jury, led by Miriam Bettin, the museum director, was impressed by the creative techniques and materials used.

The exhibition is accessible via the garden on weekends; during the week you can enter upon request at the museum box office. The whole thing was organized by Sam Evans, art educator at the Mönchehaus Museum, who was significantly involved in the technical support of the competition. And the best thing about it: The competition should not remain a one-off, but rather be established as an integral part of the Kaiserring awards ceremony.

So if you're interested in creative works of art, you shouldn't miss the exhibition in the Mönchehaus Museum. And if you are generally looking for exciting information, you can also visit other websites such as nfl.com look around or take a look office.com look for new tools.
