Premiere of the Hahnenkleer Advent: A weekend full of magic!

It's getting festive in Hahnenklee! The first Hahnenkleer Advent awaits you on the third weekend of Advent, from December 12th to 14th, 2025, with a colorful program that increases the anticipation of Christmas. Organized by Hahnenklee Tourismus GmbH, the small town in the Harz is transformed into a Christmas fairy tale.

It starts on Friday, December 12th. A guided torchlight hike starts at 6 p.m., the perfect start for anyone who wants to get into the Advent spirit. Hiking guide Heidi will welcome the participants at the Hahnenklee Tourist Information Center and lead the group to the Carea Residenz Hotel Harzhöhe. Participants can fortify themselves with delicious snacks and drinks in the hotel garden from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The highlight of the evening will be the laser show, which starts at 8:45 p.m. and is sure to amaze.

A colorful program for the whole family

Saturday, December 13th, is entirely dedicated to stall magic and a cabaret market that takes place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the pedestrian zone on Rathausstrasse. From 12 p.m. there will be musical accompaniment from Stefanie Strauß on the keyboard, followed by singing Christmas carols together. At 3 p.m., Advent music will be heard on the carillon of the stave church, while the Clausthal-Zellerfeld Naval Comradeship will delight visitors with choral music from 4:30 p.m.

The festive Sunday, December 14th, begins with a service led by Siglinde Fiebig. Afterwards, the cabaret market on Rathausstrasse invites you to linger from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. At 3 p.m. Pastor Jörg Uwe Pehle will tell stories about Advent and Christmas, followed by a live music performance by Mr. & Mrs. Jingle at 4 p.m. This makes the end of the Hahnenkleer Advent a very special experience.
