Atmospheric old town festival attracts with fresh sounds and fireworks!

The 47th Old Town Festival in Bad Salzgitter is just around the corner! From June 27th to 29th, 2025, the city center will be the scene of a colorful hustle and bustle. Expectations are high because the festival promises not only good music, but also a variety of culinary delicacies and numerous attractions for all generations. The official opening will take place on Friday, June 27th, at 5 p.m., by Mayor Frank Klingebiel and Michael Buse from the Bürgerfeste e.V. Committee. There will be a jam-packed program over the three days that will delight young and old.

The youth stage on Petershagener Straße is an integral part of the old town festival. Here visitors can expect a varied music program organized by Laura Buse and her team. It starts on Friday at 6 p.m. with the band “From Grace”, who starts the evening with melodic death metal. Other bands of the evening include “Joking Aside” (7:10 p.m.), “OP3” (8:35 p.m.) and “Another Day” (10 p.m.) from Goslar, who play rock with punk and metal influences reported.

A hit for every day

Saturday offers several highlights for music lovers. The Open Stage starts at 2 p.m., giving all talents a chance to show off their skills. From 4 p.m. Anthony Miller will liven up the stage with his alternative folk, followed by the rock band “COYD” and “Light the Cannons” from Hamburg. The finale will be the indie rock band El Andaluz at 10 p.m reports.

On Sunday, visitors can look forward to a large parade from 1 p.m., which will be accompanied by a musical morning pint on the market square. There is also an exciting music program here with performances by Leonie Jael, “The Merciful Plateau Soles” and Chicago Lane, as well as a final fireworks display in the evening reveals.

Family festival with many attractions

The popular supporting program also includes a children's mile with bouncy castles, puppet theater and face painting.
