The Weserbergland will continue to shine in 2026 with numerous events that will captivate both locals and visitors. As the Dewezet reports, there are some very special highlights on the program.
A very special sea of light and color will be experienced in the Pyrmont spa park. From January 15th to February 28th, numerous light installations decorate the park and captivate visitors. But that's just the beginning. The impressive medieval spectacle “Mystica Hamelon” will follow in March in the Pied Piper town of Hameln. This takes place from March 6th to 8th and is rounded off with a shopping Sunday. Historical backdrops and dressed participants from all over Europe bring the atmosphere of the Middle Ages to life with myths, sagas and legends. Knights, craftsmen, jugglers and even elves and pirates will populate the old town, while a colorful and varied program provides entertainment on the market area. Hamelin promises a weekend full of magic and adventure.
A colorful program for the entire region
The events in the Weserbergland extend throughout the entire year. Starting with the magical festival of lights through to the various market festivals, there is something for every taste. The musical performance “Rats” will take place on the wedding house terrace every Wednesday from May 27th until September 2nd at 4:30 p.m. in front of the picturesque backdrop and the best thing about it: entry is free!
Other highlights include the Easter bike run in Lügde on April 5th, the Pyrmonter Landpartie from April 30th to May 3rd with over 140 exhibitors and the May market on May 16th and 17th in downtown Pyrmont. The new event, the Pyrmont Water Festival, from June 1st to 7th, will also ring in the summer with concerts and hands-on activities.
Cultural highlights in the second half of the year
The second half of the year also holds some cultural treasures. The small festival will take place in the large spa park from July 24th to 26th, followed by the light festival and the pavement festival in Hameln on August 28th and 29th, where a diverse musical experience awaits on a total of six stages.
The crowning conclusion to the year is the Bückeburg Christmas Magic at Bückeburg Castle from November 26th to December 6th, which will create a festive atmosphere with a varied supporting program.
