TC Hameln II triumphs in volleyball – first win of the season!
Last Saturday, November 17th, 2025, there were exciting duels in the volleyball world, especially for the men's teams of TC Hameln. The second team played against MTV 48 Hildesheim and started the game promisingly. With a clear 25:17, TC Hameln II secured the first set. But the second set left the spectators' nerves shivering: despite the initial lead, the team had to give up the set at 24:26. However, coach Chevan Ali motivated his players excellently, which led to a brilliant victory in the following sets. In the end there was a 3-1 score in the books, which gave the team their first win of the season and a jump to fifth place in the table. This positive development clearly gave the team self-confidence.
In the same game, the first men's team from TC Hameln also made an impressive comeback. Another highlight followed on Sunday: The team won confidently 3-0 against TuSpo Weende (25:17, 25:18, 25:20). Coach Robert Nitschke was happy with his team, but admitted that some mistakes affected the overall performance. In the next match against ASC Göttingen, the previously undefeated table leaders with an impressive record of 12:0 points, TC Hameln I showed themselves even stronger. With a decisive 3-0 win (25:10, 25:22, 26:24) the team catapulted itself to the top of the table.
Successes in the state cup
Next week, TC Hameln will take part in the state cup in Hameln. Here three men's teams take part in the qualifying tournament for the cup finals. The teams play in two groups of four for places in the semi-finals. The newly formed third men's team took third place in Group B behind MTV Wunstorf and MTV Holzminden, who already qualified for the next rounds. In Group A, the two national league teams from TC Hameln were able to qualify for the semi-finals early without defeat and thus showed impressive performances.
Youth soccer and women's volleyball
Meanwhile, the U20 volleyball players from TC Hameln are also convincing with their performance, as they have qualified for the Northwest German U20 Championship for the first time. This is not only a reason to be happy for the club, but also shows that the work with young talent is bearing fruit. The club's women's teams also had mixed results: While the 1st women lost the home game against Vechelde 0:3, the 2nd women got an unexpected point from Bückeburg.
In another exciting championship season, the female U14 and male U18 show great performances. The first women's team fought its way to fourth place in the association league with a 3-0 win against Langenhagen, which provided additional motivation.
With strong performances and the tireless commitment of all players, TC Hameln continues to grow beyond itself. Spectators can look forward to more exciting matches, which will certainly cause excitement and cheers again in the future.
