The Vetault family shines at the 49th Hermann Löns Park Run in Hanover!
The 49th Hermann Löns Park Run in Hanover was once again exciting and shows that the running event is firmly rooted in the region. With sporting achievements and a committed group of participants, the run on November 14, 2025 created a good atmosphere. First and foremost was the Vetault family from TKJ Sarstedt, who were able to shine with remarkable results. Charlotte Vetault demonstrated her speed in the 1.5-kilometer school run and finished eighth in the U8 (female) age group in 8:25 minutes. Her mother, Julia Vetault, also competed and clocked a time of 30:02 minutes in the 5-kilometer run, which placed her 12th in the W45 age group. Her husband, Charly Vetault, ran the 10-kilometer distance in 45:54 minutes and achieved 9th place in the M50 age group, showcasing the varied route accompanied by his running friend Colin Orth. Hildesheim press reports.
A positive response also came from Charly, who praised the event and the conditions. What is particularly noteworthy is that despite the seasonal tendency to end, the TKJ was able to shine with a strong performance, which further strengthens the community in sport.
A celebration for the runners
The Hermann Löns Park Run not only attracts passionate runners, but is also a real community event. On Sunday, November 9th, 2025, a raffle took place at the same time, with many prizes waiting for the participants, including a palette of “Erdinger”, which was almost completely given away to the runners at the finish. The private brewery ERDINGER Weißbräu was generous and actively supported the event. The very own statistics and the “eternal best lists” of the Lönspark Runs since 2001 are available online and provide an impressive overview of the sporting development. Lönsparklauf.de provides further information.
Thanks go to the numerous helpers who organized this event in the background. Despite the reduced number of helpers, the run was a complete success, supported by the committed groups such as the TKH running group, the TKH orienteers and the TKH cycling group. In addition, timekeeper Stephan Werland ensured precise timing and made necessary corrections, which added additional shine to the professionalism of the event.
Challenges in running
However, there are also challenges in the running landscape. A striking example is the Seeparklauf in Bad Bodenteich, which was suspended in 2023 due to declining numbers of participants and a lack of helpers. Organizer Friedhelm Schulz expressed concern about the drastic development and the lack of response to fun runs. The last edition in August 2022 only had 157 active participants, but alternative concepts are being developed to save the race. AZ-online reports about it.
In conclusion, it can be said that the Hermann Löns Park Run not only offers a platform for sporting achievements, but is also an expression of community and togetherness in running. Looking ahead to the coming year, we are looking forward to the 50th Hermann Löns Park Run, which will certainly attract many running enthusiasts.
