On November 5, 2025, photographer Kai-Uwe Küchler will present his impressive images from Norway in Hanover. As part of the new “Planetview at the Airport” season 2025/2026, Küchler will report on his experiences on numerous trips through the fascinating country in his lecture. The focus will be on the Norwegian fjords, mountain landscapes and the coasts of the north, as well as the famous North Cape.
For Küchler, who was born in 1965 and studied German, English and American studies, Norway is more than just a travel destination; it is a source of inspiration. In his expeditions he searches for the perfect light and quiet moments in nature. The motifs shown include the breathtaking midnight sun, the impressive northern lights near Tromsø and the idyllic landscapes of Lofoten and Vesterålen. But it's not just the landscape that plays a role: Küchler also portrays people, such as fishermen on the Arctic Ocean and the indigenous Sami culture, including a modern shaman named Thorun.
