Silent Party in the state parliament: Hundreds celebrate democracy in Hanover!

Party mood in the Lower Saxony state parliament: On October 25, 2025, things are really going on in the Portikushalle in Hanover! From 10 p.m., local partygoers are invited to celebrate democracy vigorously at the Silent Party. Everything is very special: instead of loud shouting from loudspeakers, we celebrate with headphones, and the concept has something special. With three DJs playing different styles of music from charts to hits from the 80s and 90s to technoid sounds, guests can switch between three colorful music channels as they please. Each channel lights up in its own color - making celebrating twice as much fun!

The initiator of this dazzling event is the President of the State Parliament, Hanna Naber (SPD). She describes the Silent Party as a “symbol of an open and diverse democracy”. The event under the motto “And now, democracy, how do we stick together?” is intended to strengthen the acceptance of differences and the feeling of community, which is particularly popular these days. The number of participants is limited to around 300 people and the event is already fully booked - if you still want to get a place, you can put yourself on the waiting list or ask for remaining tickets at the box office.

Celebrate with a good reason

But this party is not only a feast for the senses, but also a sign of solidarity. During the event, attention will be drawn to the city of Jever's fundraising campaign, which was launched after the flood disaster in eastern Spain. A great way to do good while celebrating!

The little partygoers are also catered for: the kids can experience their own celebrations at a caterpillar rally and photo stations. A nostalgic look at literature is also taken, as the focus is on a classic children's book that has been published in Hildesheim since 1984.

Practical information about the event

The event comes in cooperation with the “Silent Party Hannover”, an initiative of the Evangelical Youth Hannover, and promises an unforgettable night in the capital of Lower Saxony. If you haven't registered yet, you should be quick - the state parliament will open its doors to registrations from August 2nd, 2025 at the latest!

Get ready for a night of music, dancing and celebrating democracy! And while you're celebrating, don't forget to take a look at your own neighborhood and maybe help out a little where it's needed!
