Singing for everyone: Discover your voice in the Cantoria workshop!

An exciting musical event is planned in the Ricklingen district center, which should bring a new kind of momentum into the lives of local music enthusiasts. The “Cantoria” workshop, led by Stephanie Kobori, a Brazilian-German singer and clarinetist, was inspired by the idea of encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to sing together. Anyone who would like to explore their singing voice and musicality is welcome to raise their voices.

An exchange is planned that is based on the Rabine Method, an innovative technique that is based on the connections between voice, body and breathing. Here the participants learn to develop their voices in the community and to experience real joy in singing. A special highlight of the workshop is the creation of a polyphonic song from South America, composed by FLINTA*, which focuses on the use of one's own voice. No previous knowledge is required, which is particularly inviting for newcomers who have previously doubted their singing skills.

Versatile approaches to voice training

The Rabine method, developed by Prof. Eugen Rabine, is gaining worldwide recognition. She attaches great importance to promoting the individual vocal possibilities of each participant and taking into account all aspects that influence the voice. This method is not only used in singing pedagogy, but also in speaker training and speech therapy, as rabine-institut.de explains.

Through targeted vocal, breathing and physical exercises, participants learn to see themselves as their “own instrument”. Central to this is the knowledge about breathing techniques and posture, which are essential for a healthy, melodious voice. With this sound methodology, Kobori creates an environment in which singing becomes easy, enjoyable and harmonious - the ultimate goal of every music lover.

The “Cantoria” workshop in the Ricklingen district center could be a great opportunity to expand your own understanding of voice and music and at the same time become part of a lively community of like-minded people. Singing in this space of creative exchange should be an unforgettable experience.
