In the exciting derby in the U19 regional league between VfV 06 Hildesheim and TSV Havelse on November 1st, 2025, the boys from Hildesheim won an important point. In the end it was 1:1 and around 305 spectators were able to enjoy a thrilling duel. Both teams are aiming for promotion to the DFB youth league, a hot race with VfV 06 Hildesheim in second place and TSV Havelse in third place.
After a rather cautious initial phase, VfV had their first opportunity in the 20th minute, but Ibrahim Cham's shot was confidently parried by Havelse's goalkeeper Jonas Glauberstein. A little later the guests showed how easy it can be in football. Anton Hanke gave Havelse the lead in the 45th minute with a precise shot. But Hildesheim showed character: In stoppage time in the first half, Adrian Schmidt converted a penalty and made it 1-1.
Change of strategy and fighting spirit
The second half brought a new tactical direction. Coach Benedict Plaschke decided to strengthen the defense in order to slow down Havelse's offensive urge. The opponents in Group B are well-known teams such as Borussia Mönchengladbach and VfB Stuttgart, and the first games start from February 2nd. This league promises exciting encounters and another opportunity to prove yourself. Fans can look forward to an exciting few months as the U19 teams give their all to achieve their goals, both in the regional league and in the youth league.
