Exclusive insights: This is how the magic of Rote Rosen” is created in Lüneburg!

Tours of the “Rote Rosen” production studio in Lüneburg are very popular. On August 17, 2025, visitors had the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the popular series. The tour, led by Andrea Harms, offers exciting insights into the world of television production.

The visitors were asked to observe a few rules of conduct: “Do not lie in bed, do not sit on a chair and please do not take anything with you,” was the request. There are 45 sets waiting to be explored in the studio, including the newly designed “Carla comes back from America” set. There is not only a new storyline here, but also a major project that appeals to fans of the series.

A look behind the scenes

The production of “Rote Rosen” produces around 50 minutes of series content every day, for which two teams work in parallel. Around 150 employees are involved in the series, including around 20 actors and 50 authors who lend their voices to the story. The rose house, a central element of the series, has also changed recently. New residents have moved in and the kitchen that was once dominated by Tina and Ben is now history. Visitors report on the changes: “There are two doors in the Rosenhaus kitchen, one to the outside and one to the inside,” says a participant in the tour.

What is particularly striking is the new lighting system, which relies more on natural light. In addition, the bathroom in the rose house is presented in a charming way, because the bathtub has no running water and is filled with watering cans. Another curious detail: the taps only work via hand pumps. The director is also not present directly on the set, but often in another room where they monitor the scenes.

Fascination for everyone

The tours are not only interesting for die-hard fans. Even curious people who may not be familiar with the series can learn a lot about the processes involved in a television production. There are also opportunities to meet the actors during tours. The filming days start early at 7 a.m. and end at 6:30 p.m. – an intensive time for everyone involved!

Anyone who is interested can register via the Rote Rosen online store. The tours not only provide entertainment, but also offer insights into the exciting world of television production, which is often different than you think. As the State newspaper reports, there are many details to discover during the visit that make the series so charming.

Sometimes you just have to take a step behind the scenes to understand what's really happening. Especially in such a lively environment like the Red Rose Set, it's not just the result that counts, but also the way to get there - with all its funny peculiarities and loving details. So if you want to spend an unforgettable day in Lüneburg, you shouldn't miss this opportunity!
