Hakim-Michael Meziani: From the Red Rosen star to the Rum-Expert!

Lüneburg, Deutschland - After 13 years and over 3000 episodes, Hakim-Michael Meziani leaves the popular ARD telenovela "Rote Rosen". His role as Ben Berger made him one of the most famous faces of the afternoon program. On Friday, June 18, he celebrated his last appearance and thus moves into a new chapter of his life. "Red Roses" is not only known for their dramatic turns and deep emotions, but also an integral part of the German television landscape, especially in the genre of Telenovelas, which have been enjoying great popularity since the 1980s.

"It was like a six in the lottery," Miziani describes his experience in the series. He appreciates this valuable time in which he won many fans as a crush of women. Despite the security that a permanent position brings, the actor considered leaving the "hamster wheel" in order to face new challenges. This includes his ambition to establish the rum brand "Alder Rum", which he founded together with his friend Harry Geiseler. Inspired by a friend who told him in Paraguay of Edlem Rum, Meziani set the course for his distillery in Hamburg-Bramfeld four years ago.

a new way as a Rummacher

such as the Image produces meziani bio- and fairtrade-rum is manufactured. The rum is obtained from sugar cane, which comes from an organic sugar cane factory in Paraguay. Its product is not only environmentally conscious, but also of high quality - a bottle costs 34.90 euros and can be refilled. "Sustainability is important to me," emphasizes the actor and Rummacher.

In his new phase of life, Hakim-Michael Meziani will not only produce, but also actively participate in the market by offering "private tastings". This shows that he is ready to combine his passion for rum and his acting experiences. "It is important for me not to forget my roots," he says. And although he moves in an exciting new business area, he also made it clear that he does not tolerate much alcohol. "But you also don't have to be full to enjoy the taste," he adds with a smile.

Telenovelas in focus

Telenovelas, such as "Red Roses", differ from soap operators with their clear narrative structure and their limited format. This type of entertainment, which has its origin in the pre -revolutionary Cuba, has been very popular in Germany since the 1980s. The genres are characterized by gripping stories and the treatment of social issues. Using the example of "Rote Rosen" it becomes clear how much this form of television can captivate viewers by treating both emotional and social issues. Contemporary telenovelas are now produced in many countries and have developed into a global phenomenon.

While Hakim-Michael Meziani is now devoting himself to the art of making it around, he remains part of the telenovela story in Germany. It will be exciting to see how his career develops in this new direction and which creative ideas he will realize in the world of rum in the future.
