The new season of “Bauer sucht Frau” started and caused a few surprises. In the November 24, 2025 episode that aired on RTL, Christoph and Insa decided that their chemistry wasn't exactly fiery. After just one day on the farm in Lüneburg, Christoph canceled the farm week, a move that left many viewers astonished. Loud calf Insa's court guest found the mood to be rather frosty.
While Christoph said they were “like fire and water,” Insa revealed that “the spark hasn’t ignited” so far. Before he finally packed his bags, the farm visitor had the feeling that his wishes and ideas were too different from Insa's. In particular, his disappointment with Insa, who described herself as a “social coffee drinker” and was hardly interested in having breakfast together, made him make his decision.
A failed start
At the beginning of the farm week, the situation for Insa was anything but ideal. After all, the 28-year-old was criticized by viewers the previous week because Christoph was staying in a tiny house without his own bathroom. After Insa initially wanted to invite another man to the Hofwoche, she ultimately gave preference to Christoph. A decision that now appears to have been a bad start since the two of them couldn't be on the same wavelength.
Christoph, who thought he had lost his heart to Insa, quickly realized that it would be difficult. He also said that there can be no further getting to know each other if no connection is established at the first meeting. However, Insa would have been happy if Christoph hadn't left the farm so abruptly. Her nervousness, magnified by the TV cameras, may have meant she wasn't quite herself.
Drama on reality TV
This story goes beyond the personal experience of both of them. Because dating and reality shows like “Bauer sucht Frau” have a huge influence on the dating lives of singles. A survey by Parship shows that 31% of respondents see these formats as interesting insights into the mindsets of other singles. On the other hand, about 25% feel intimidated by the shows.
There are even 50% of men who are concerned that such programs could influence their dating life. An increasing number of men and women are also wondering whether the behavior in the shows reflects reality. 66% of men and 56% of women doubt the seriousness of dating after watching these formats. Despite the entertainment elements these shows provide, the desire for genuine interest in dating life remains.
Whether Christoph and Insa really missed the last chance for a loving connection remains questionable. There doesn't seem to have been a glimmer of hope that it could work after all this season. “Bauer sucht Frau” will be broadcast by RTL on two evenings, Mondays and Tuesdays, at 8:15 p.m. starting in December, so viewers will first have to wait and see how the stories will develop this season.
