Lower Saxony is particularly impressive with 16 campsites that have made it into the top 100 in Germany. The pioneer is the South Sea Camp in Wietzendorf, which is valued not only for its location but also for its diverse offerings: a swimming lake, a tropical indoor swimming pool, an indoor playground and a riding stable have won the hearts of campers.

The best campsites in Lower Saxony

In second place is the Alfsee holiday and adventure park in Rieste, where nature lovers get their money's worth. This lakeside gem offers numerous leisure and wellness options, including water skiing and a go-kart track. Third place goes to the Falkensteinsee camping and holiday park, which is characterized by a wide range of activities.

The “Camping on the Dike – North Sea” in Upleward is particularly attractive for families and nature lovers. With its location behind the dike, not far from the UNESCO Wadden Sea World Heritage Site, it is enjoying growing popularity and is in fourth place.
