On Tuesday, June 18, 2025, there was a tragic accident on Beckstedter Straße in Colnrade, in which a 69-year-old motorcyclist from Twistringen lost his life. The man got on the opposite lane in a right curve and, headally, collided with a car whose driver, a 59-year-old Twistringer, was luckily unharmed. The tragedy occurred so abruptly that the motorcyclist died at the scene of the accident. The property damage was estimated at around 20,000 euros. The road had to be closed until 7:30 p.m., while the Delmenhorst police were on site with ambulance, emergency doctor and a rescue helicopter to take the necessary measures.
