The 29-year-old is considered a possible homicide victim after he disappeared from his shisha bar “Smokingzs” in Oldenburg on July 3, 2017 without leaving a trace. The circumstances of his disappearance are mysterious and deeply involved in family conflicts and criminal involvement. Cakici was a former member of the “Hells Angels”, left the club in 2014 after a dispute and had several run-ins with the law, including in drug trafficking. He was last seen at his bar around 7:30 p.m., left his cell phone and car keys behind and exited the back of the building. A suspicious vehicle, a black Mercedes E-Class, was spotted behind the house. Investigators believe he may have been killed and his body disposed of, while rumors of fraud involving business partners vying for large sums of money are circulating. ZDF reports that his family became involved in a vicious circle of violence immediately after his disappearance; his uncle was shot and a hand grenade exploded during an attack on his father.
