Something important is happening in Osnabrück: The city's adoption and foster care service is looking for energetic people who are willing to offer a child a new home. On Thursday, November 20th, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., a non-binding information evening will take place in the authorities building, Hannoversche Str. 6 – 8, 49084 Osnabrück. At this meeting, those interested have the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about the requirements for foster parents and the special needs of the children. The need is great because many of the children who come from extremely stressful situations cannot grow up with their biological families.
The reasons for this are often tragic: neglect, neglect or even abuse are experiences that these children have had to go through. We are looking for couples and families who are enthusiastic about children and want to respond individually to their needs. At the information event, two employees of the service will talk in detail about the foster children's previous experiences and provide information about the correct preparation and support from the adoption and foster child service. Recording options and support
Interested parties have the option of taking a child into on-call care either for a limited period of time or in full-time care on a permanent basis. It is important that future foster parents accept the special needs of the children and are willing to work with the children's birth parents. The adoption and foster child service does not leave its future foster parents alone: extensive support is available, including targeted preparation, regular support and further training.
