VfL Osnabrück signs Daniel Davari: New era in goalkeeper training!

Osnabrück, Deutschland - A new wind is blowing at VfL Osnabrück: The club has signed Daniel Davari as the new goalkeeper coach. The 37-year-old started his work on Monday, on time at 11 a.m., during the first training session. Most recently, Davari worked at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and brings plenty of experience in his luggage. In his career, he played a total of 39 games in the Bundesliga and 75 in the second division and contested over 130 games in third and regional leagues. A very nice wealth of experience that will now benefit him not only as a trainer, but also as a mentor of goalkeeper Lukas Jonsson, Niklas Sauter and Mats Remberg.

The Gießen native, who was born as the son of an Iranian father and a Polish mother, is not unknown on the football parquet. Wikipedia reports that Davari was also part of the Iranian World Cup squad in 2014. In recent years, he has made a name for himself about various stations, including Eintracht Braunschweig, Arminia Bielefeld and MSV Duisburg. He now brings his origin as a goalkeeper to the structures of VfL, where he will also work with the U19 and can thus make a valuable contribution to the training of young talents.

A challenge is waiting

In Osnabrück, the Situation on the square is already tense. In addition to Davari's new commitment, there are several players who have not yet clarified their future. Bjark Jacobsen, a new addition to SV Wehen Wiesbaden, is in an individual training program due to an injury. In the meantime, the Youngster Joschka Kroll, Rohin Shivani and Ibrahim Touray are on bond in other clubs to collect more game practice. As far as the transfers are concerned, the things are well in the flow at Joel and ADAY Ercan: Neither are currently participating in training because they are in advanced transfer talks. Bryang Kayo could also leave the club; A specific offer is already available and is currently being examined.

The first impressions of Davari's way of working among the trainers are promising. He is known to have clear communication and an open ear for the wishes of his protégés. These properties could be well seen by VfL Osnabrück, especially in a phase in which the team needed an upswing.

How the developments around VfL and its new goalkeeper coach will be exciting. But the signs are good that Davari can significantly improve the goalkeeper perspective at the club with his know-how and experience.
