Children's choir in Dungelbeck: Singing for all jokers aged 6 and over!
In Dungelbeck a new sound will soon enter the community. Katharina Bartholl has founded a children's choir to make the region's little voices sing. The first choir rehearsal will take place on Thursday, September 4th, at 4 p.m. in the parish hall of St. Johannis Church. All children aged six and over who enjoy singing and would like to try it out are invited.
Bartholl, who is already known for her experience with children's musicals and her training in school music, has a good knack for conducting choirs. “Especially simple songs should be sung, with the aim of perhaps later moving on to canons or polyphonic singing,” she says. The focus is on children's voice training.
Regular rehearsals and performances
The rehearsals will take place every 14 days for one hour each. Participation is completely uncomplicated: no previous knowledge of reading music is required. Bartholl advocates that the fun of singing is the priority. “We are working on a colorful repertoire that also includes rock and pop songs as well as well-known children’s songs,” she explains. Small performances, for example at church services or nativity plays, are also planned.
Parents can register their children without obligation by sending an email to kinderchor@e.mail.de or simply bring them with them to the first meeting. The best part? Participation is free! A great offer for all music-loving children in Dungelbeck and the surrounding area.
Music and community
The founding of the children's choir underlines the importance of music and community in the region. Events like these provide a great opportunity to bring children together and allow them to express themselves creatively. Music not only connects and promotes a sense of community, but also the children's personal development.
If you think about the cultural initiatives in our community, it quickly becomes clear that there is always “something going on” here. Such activities bring a breath of fresh air and ensure that Dungelbeck positions itself as a lively and dynamic community.
So if you are interested, you can simply let yourself be carried away by the music and contribute your voice. Future generations of singers are in the starting blocks – the music will live on in Dungelbeck!
