In Salzgitter-Bad it will be colorful and loud again this weekend! From June 27th to 29th, 2025, the traditional old town festival invites visitors: inside, to experience the city center in full splendor. The festival promises to become a real festival for the senses - with music, dance, culinary delights and numerous attractions for the whole family. Already today, on June 23, there is first anticipation in the air.

The parade is a special highlight on Sunday, June 29th. The route runs through Kaiserstrasse and ends at the church square, where the celebrations on Marienplatz and Altstadtweg continue. "I am there as part of the organizer team for ten years. The move is always a big attraction for the residents: inside," reports a member of the organization team.

A varied program will be presented on the stages from 3 p.m. Numerous groups have registered with several hundred participants - from children to adults - the mood. Among the registered groups, the Fanfarenzug Oelber , the volunteer fire brigade SZ-Bad and the Musikzug Groß Mahner . A real highlight will be the colorful mix that ranges from local customs to modern dance performances.

There is also a lot to discover for the little ones! A children's mile with bouncy castles, puppet theater and face painting promises unforgettable moments. The offer is rounded off by a ceiling flea market for children. The entire festival is designed as a place of coexistence and celebration for all generations.

The KVG makes it easy for the festival visit to come to the old town festival. From June 27th to 29th, additional buses will be used on lines 612 and 613. There will also be special trips for nightly return journeys on Friday and Saturday at 0:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. from the “SZ-Bad, Bahnhof” stop. "We recommend that you secure a cheap day ticket at an early stage," said a spokesman for the KVG.

Important to know: Kaiserstraße and the Bohlweg are closed from June 26 to 30, 12 p.m., and corresponding stops are not approached. Alternatives are signposted so that the journey can be done without any problems.

For everyone who appreciates the calm moments, there is a "silent hour" on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., in which there will be no musical performances. But then it continues with a colorful finale, which includes a hit evening with the merciful platform soles and a glam-rock show by Chicago Lane. A terrific fireworks over Salzgitter-Bad will set the end.
