Salzgitter surprise: penis chips are conquering shopping carts!
In the tranquil town of Salzgitter, Andree has implemented a funny idea that is intended to loosen up the shopping habits of the locals. The creative mind has produced a whopping 200 shopping cart chips in the shape of a penis using a 3D printer. Not only does it bring a breath of fresh air to the otherwise often serious shopping places, but it also makes you smile the next time you visit the supermarket. The chips are suitable for the coin slots of shopping carts at Aldi, Rewe and other grocery stores.
It all started when Andree was looking for a new shopping cart chip for his wife after the old one broke. While looking for a solution, the idea arose to lend a hand and design the chips in a special shape. The response to his chaotic and funny campaign didn't take long to arrive. When he presented the first examples on Facebook, he was met with great interest - and not just in Salzgitter.
The distribution continues
By June 12, 2025, Andree had already distributed 60 of these fun chips in Lebenstedt, and he plans to bring the remaining pieces to the people as well. The idea of adding a little humor to everyday shopping is a welcome change for many Salzgitter residents. Andree shows that fun and functionality can go hand in hand.
His idea reflects a trend that is finding more and more followers: 3D printing. Platforms like Cults3D now offer a variety of models for producing various 3D printed objects, including shopping cart chips. On this platform, users can choose between 63 different model ideas that meet the innovative urge for their own creations. This not only enables creative people to realize their designs, but also to exchange ideas with like-minded people.
A touch of creativity in your shopping cart
However, Andree's invention is not just a gag, but also stimulates the imagination of others. Cults3D has over 2.4 million models - from technical gadgets to funny gadgets. This shows how much joy people have in enriching their everyday lives with a pinch of humor. More and more designers are daring to create their own models of shopping cart chips, adding a creative touch to everyday shopping trips.
It remains to be seen whether Andree will soon be able to sell his chips nationwide, but until then he will ensure happy faces and a cheerful shopping atmosphere in Salzgitter. It's a wonderful example of how a simple idea, paired with a bit of technology and humor, can make community life a little more colorful.
