Tarmstedt celebrates 75 years: The largest agricultural exhibition in Northern Germany!
The time has come: The Tarmstedt exhibition, the largest outdoor exhibition in northern Germany, is celebrating its 75th anniversary! From July 12th to 15th, 2025, visitors can once again expect an exciting program about agriculture, renewable energies and much more. With over 750 exhibitors and a colorful mix of topics, there is something for everyone. Last year more than 100,000 people flocked to the site and the historic event remains a magnet for young and old this time too. NDR reports about the festive events amidst the picturesque backdrop of the Rotenburg district.
The exhibition covers an impressive area of over 18 hectares, including seven large exhibition halls. Here visitors can discover the latest trends and innovations in agriculture and renewable energy. Particularly exciting this year: Renewable energies are at the center of the presentations; together with the regional renewable energies association and over 20 specialized companies, guests can find out more about photovoltaics, wind energy and biogas. Tarmstedt exhibition has discovered a lot here that makes the hearts of environmentally conscious people beat faster.
A colorful program for young and old
The supporting program is extensive: In addition to the technical discussions on agricultural topics, visitors can expect an animal show on Saturday evening, which starts at 8 p.m. After a 20-year break, a “stable party” will also be celebrated in the festival tent. NDR presenter Andreas Kuhlage and farmer Maja Mogwitz are available to have interesting conversations. The entire program, which runs daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., offers plenty of amazement and entertainment.
Families also get their money's worth. There are numerous attractions on the market square, such as mini scooters, can throwing, a bouncy castle and even a huge Ferris wheel. A bungee system provides a little adrenaline rush and the little ones can have fun with “duck fishing”. So there is something for everyone, while adults can explore the latest agricultural trends.
