Highlights of the city festival
The opening evening on Friday starts at 6:30 p.m. with the traditional tapping of the barrel at the Old Town Hall. The Bon Jovi cover band “Dead or alive” will rock the stage from 9:30 p.m. On Saturday evening, Clint Ivie and his band as well as “United 4” will delight the audience. Entertainment is provided throughout the city center: over 15 groups offer live music on three stages, and during the day sports clubs and the DRK can present themselves on Schuhstrasse. A chair dance with Lilly Feske is also on the program on Sunday, August 3rd, at 4:30 p.m., as on the official website for the city festival, stadtfest-uelzen.de, is to be read.
Another highlight is the new ride “Air Power” by showman Tom Heine from Bremen, which is coming to the city festival for the first time. For younger visitors there are numerous games and fun activities as well as carousel rides. A stand with Czech specialties and an Andechser beer truck will also expand the gastronomic offering.
A celebration for all generations
The city festival is aimed at all age groups and offers a wide range of activities.
