Unemployment in Oldenburger Münsterland: Pleasing decline!
The latest unemployment figures in Oldenburger Münsterland bring good news. According to a report by NWZonline the number of unemployed fell to 7,816 people in October 2025. This means a decrease of 223 people compared to the previous month and even 100 fewer people compared to the previous year. What is particularly striking is the unemployment rate, which is now at 3.9 percent, a decrease of 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous month. This could indicate that the labor market in the region is stabilizing.
The numbers are evenly distributed in the Cloppenburg and Vechta districts: 4,413 people are registered as unemployed in the Cloppenburg district, while the Vechta district has 3,403 unemployed people. In October, a total of 2,082 people registered as unemployed, with 876 leaving their job directly from an existing employment relationship.
Demand for personnel is increasing
A positive aspect of this development is the increasing demand for personnel. More people filed for unemployment as new hires were made, showing that companies are increasingly in need of workers.
