Future of water: Vechta launches a sustainable vision for the district!

The final event of the “Water Vision Vechta” project took place on July 8, 2025 in the Vechta district hall. Numerous actors from the areas of administration, agriculture, politics, science and civil society came together to discuss the future of water in the Vechta district. Under the motto “Thinking about the future together – Results. Impulses. Participation.” Project coordinator Lisa Grützmacher presented the findings and results of the last few months, which are based on extensive quantitative and qualitative studies.

The well-attended event presented the visionary basis for sustainable water management in the district. Landscape architect Hyco Verhaagen played a central role here by presenting the jointly developed vision. Moderated by Tanja Föhr, the event was brought to life using graphic recording. The focus was particularly on the discussion of the implementation of this vision, which was deepened in the second part.
