Wilhelmshaven is celebrating: Open-Air 2026 is moving! Tickets from August 15th!

A very special event is coming up in Wilhelmshaven: The “Wilhelmshaven Open Air 2026” will take place on September 5th, 2026. After the great success of previous events, the location has changed to the Sportforum Wilhelmshaven. The reason for this move is the exhaustion of spectator capacity at the previous venue, the pumping station. A smart move, as the Sportforum offers excellent public transport connections and provides sufficient parking spaces, making travel much easier for visitors. How NWZ Online reported, advance ticket sales will begin on August 15, 2025.

Organizer Dennis Athens from “My Favorite Event” has already signed some top-class artists. Wincent Weiss, Tom Twers and the group “Raum27” will rock the stage. This band thrilled over 20,000 fans on their last tour - there's something going on and expectations are high!

A celebration for Wilhelmshaven

Wilhelmshaven, a charming coastal town in Lower Saxony, now has around 76,089 inhabitants and is a true jewel on Jade Bay. It is not only Germany's main military port, but also an attraction for tourists, especially due to the adjacent Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This importance will be underlined again by the upcoming Open Air. In addition to musical enjoyment, the city offers a wealth of historical sites, including Siebethsburg Castle, which was built in 1383, as well as typical local attractions such as the Jade Stadium and the German Naval Museum. Wikipedia gives a good overview of the city's history and its development up to the present day.

The pumping station will also celebrate its 50th anniversary next year - another reason why moving the open air to a new location makes sense. The Sparkasse as a sponsor of the event, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary, also contributes to the attractiveness of the festival.

Tickets and other events

Tickets for the open air are available from August 15, 2025. These can be accessed via the pumping station website as well as via the tourist information office on Ebertstrasse and the platform My favorite event be obtained.
