Big music festival in Wolfsburg: Over 200 musicians at the open-air event!

In the city center of Wolfsburg, a very special musical festival will be celebrated on Friday, June 27, 2025: The open-air event "Musikschule & Friends" will be organized by the music school of the city of Wolfsburg and promises a true fireworks of the sound from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. under the impressive glass roof of Hugo-Bork-Platz. Entry is free, which makes the event a special experience for all music lovers. In close cooperation with Wolfsburg Wirtschaft und Marketing GmbH (WMG), this event will combine over 200 musicians from the region.

The motto of the festival, "connects music", is not only a nice slogan, but can also be found in the selection of the music styles that range from Irish folk to pop and rock to classical music. Various ensembles and choirs of the music school appear over the day, including the jazz and pop choir as well as the Big Band. The participation of the folk ensemble Clover, together with the drum ensemble Paradies, combines the Irish folklore with African Djemben into a unique sound together with the drum ensemble. • 15:40 - 4:10 p.m.: Bring Me Roses & Play It Again, Sam (Pop Unplugged)
• 4:30 p.m.-4:50 p.m.: Folkwind-Orchestra & Paradies (Irish Folk and Djemben)
• 17:10- 5:40 p.m.: Jazz and Popchor & Tremozioni (Italo-Pop)
• 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.: Choir of the dancing Theater & Gèza Gàl (Pop)
• 7:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.: Big Band Wolfsburg & Students of the Music Academies Hannover and Berlin (Jazz, Funk, Soul)

The different music groups, including the big bands of the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium and the new school as well as the choir of the dancing theater, offer visitors not only a musical diversity, but also the opportunity to discover the local talents. The program design has already promoted new contacts and an intensive exchange between the groups. The result is special sounds and new arrangements, many of them created especially for this event.
