VfL Women's Bundesliga: Season ticket advance sales with new highlights!

A lot has happened in women's football in the last few weeks. The VfL Wolfsburg women are now setting new standards with their season ticket sales. From Tuesday, June 24th, fans will have the opportunity to secure a season ticket, which will now cover 13 home games instead of the previous 11. The exclusive advance sale for existing season ticket holders begins on Tuesday at 9:45 a.m. and ends on Monday, June 23rd at 12 p.m., as VfL Wolfsburg reports.

The price adjustments have become necessary to cover increased expenses for gaming operations. Part of the amount for the classic season ticket in credit card format, which is available for 19.45 euros, is also invested in the fan culture of VfL Wolfsburg. If you want to order your winning tickets, you should keep a close eye on the period and possibly check your changes in your online account in advance. Changes to discounts or addresses must be submitted by June 30th.

On to new heights

But there is news not only in the ticket area. There is also a lot at stake for the she-wolves in terms of sport. VfL Wolfsburg still has four crucial games left in the Bundesliga to overtake FC Bayern. Coach Tommy Stroot knows that after the emotional Champions League semi-final against Arsenal WFC, time is needed to process. There is almost a week between the game against Arsenal and the upcoming match against 1. FC Köln in which the team can prepare physically and mentally for the next challenges, reports Kicker.

On Sunday at 1 p.m. Wolfsburg will face the stumbling 1. FC Köln, who are just trying to get out of their crisis with a win against MSV Duisburg (4-0). However, Stroot is convinced of the quality of the Cologne squad, even if it is only two points away from a relegation zone.

Records and developments in women's football

Enthusiasm for women's football is growing: a new attendance record of 38,365 visitors was recently set at a game between 1. FC Köln and Eintracht Frankfurt. This number clearly exceeds the previous record of 23,200 spectators and impressively shows how much this sport is on the rise. Christian Keller, Sports Director of 1. FC Cologne, praised the high number of spectators despite the 2-0 defeat as an advertisement for women's football, as Deutschlandfunk reports.

The discussion about the marketing of women's football remains exciting, especially in view of the upcoming Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand. FIFA has not yet awarded the broadcast rights, raising questions about future pricing. Keller appealed not to compare men's and women's football, but rather to consider the special features and target groups of both sports separately.

Nevertheless, the air for the she-wolves is within their grasp. With the highest audience interest and the most exciting title fight yet to come, it will be exciting to see how the upcoming games will turn out. Women's football has developed strongly in recent years and VfL Wolfsburg's new measures will further stimulate this growth.
