Important bus changes in Gifhorn: Information event on Monday!

On June 30, 2025, an information event will take place in the Unter den Eichen restaurant in Parsau that will deal with the upcoming changes in bus services. The event begins at 6 p.m. and is organized by the Bachstein transport company and the Greater Braunschweig regional association. The focus is on the planned network overhaul between Wittingen, Brome and Wolfsburg, which will come into force on August 14, 2025 after the summer holidays. The aim is to create sustainable and clearly structured local transport for the region. Visitors have the opportunity to ask questions and find out about the new routes and timings.

These measures are part of a larger plan to optimize public transport in the region. A well-functioning transport system is of great importance not only for commuters, but also for students and companies. The changes promise more connectivity and better connections between the different districts.

Timetable changes and new offers

Similar to northern Germany, a timetable change will also be carried out in other regions, such as the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund, on December 15, 2024, which will entail numerous changes. There, too, the focus is on optimizing connections and adapting line routes in order to implement new mobility offers. The changes affect bus lines 21, 29, 52, 71 and 107, some of which will have new stops or their frequency will be adjusted. For example, line 29 will be discontinued at the end of the year, while line 52 will be converted to a late-night scheduled taxi service - a measure that primarily benefits flexibility.

However, the existing offer is not only reflected in the adaptation of the routes, but also in the revision of the stop names. Name changes, such as those from “Kaltenbronn” to “Kaltenbronn Infozentrum”, attract a lot of interest as they often provide improved orientation for passengers. The transport company recommends that users find out about the current changes online before traveling.

Public transport in Riga

The future hillside locations, such as access to the airport with bus number 22, increase transparency and improved connections. Here too, it is important that all passengers are well informed in order to avoid penalties for invalid ticket use, which can range between €15 and €30.

These initiatives and changes in different regions clearly show how important well-organized public transport is to increase the quality of life and improve the mobility of citizens. All interested parties are cordially invited to find out about the local innovations in Parsau on June 30th and to actively participate in the positive development of local transport.
